More Than a Fundraiser
On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Victory Lanes in Mooresville, North Carolina, became the setting for something far greater than a typical bowling tournament. Sleep in Heavenly Peace’s Bowling for Beds event brought together over 300 passionate individuals—Lowe’s Home Improvement executives, merchant teams, supporting vendors, SHP Board of Directors, staff members, and volunteers from the local Iredell County chapter—all united by a single, powerful mission: NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®
The result? An incredible $580,000 raised to build and deliver beds to children in need across the nation.
A Celebration of Impact
The afternoon buzzed with energy as 40 bowling teams competed in friendly rivalry, but the real competition was against child bedlessness. Between frames and high-fives, attendees were reminded of why they were there: countless children across the United States sleep on floors, couches, or share beds with multiple siblings. For these children, a bed represents more than just a place to sleep—it’s comfort, security, dignity, and the foundation for healthy physical, emotional, and mental development.
Adding star power to the festivities, professional bowlers Norm Duke and Brian Voss provided an exciting exhibition that had everyone talking. Their skill and showmanship elevated an already unforgettable evening, proving that when passion meets purpose, magic happens.
The Inaugural “Dream Maker” Award
The evening’s most memorable moment came with the presentation of the first-ever “Dream Maker” award to Bill Boltz, Lowe’s executive vice president of merchandising. This special recognition honors individuals who go above and beyond—not just as advocates, but as hands-on champions of Sleep in Heavenly Peace’s mission.
“Bill Boltz has not only championed our cause, but has rolled up his sleeves to build, deliver, and make a difference firsthand,” said Eddie Arnold, Chairman of the Board for Sleep in Heavenly Peace. “With Bill’s leadership, Lowe’s has fueled nationwide support for Sleep in Heavenly Peace—mobilizing volunteers, raising significant dollars, and ensuring that families in need feel the comfort, security, and dignity of a bed of their own. Bill’s generosity, his heart, and his hands have made a lasting impact.”
