About SHP
Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a 501(c)3 national non-profit whose mission is to end child bedlessness and ensure that NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!
The most profound way to end the national crisis of child bedlessness is to unite the country in one common goal of building the most amount of beds possible and getting thousands of children off the floor. And that is the story behind SHP’s National Build Day.
Bunks Across America 2020: SHP’s second annual National Build Day
Bunks Across America is an annual event where local chapters across the nation participate in the largest bed building event in a single day. Through local and national sponsorships, SHP is able to put a real dent in the national child bedlessness crisis. During BAA 2019, 108 SHP chapters joined forces with over 8,500 volunteers to build nearly 5,400 beds, and provided real opportunities for dozens of local and national sponsors. These sponsors enjoyed the benefits of local and national exposure, provided service opportunities for employees, and felt the joy of serving their own communities.

Lowe’s came through in a big way for BAA 2019 by contributing cash, volunteers, and build locations for 14 local participating chapterssettings.
Lucid Mattress has been with SHP from the beginning and for BAA 2019, they provided heavily discounted mattresses and marketing support
CAT Footwear provided every chapter participating in BAA 2019 with PPE as well as marketing and social media support
BAA 2020 will take place on SATURDAY JUNE 13, 2020, and SHP’s goal is to build over 7,000 beds with up to 15,000 volunteers, and we need your help to make it happen. So save the date and join us for a memorable day of joy and community service!
What does a typical BAA sponsorship look like?
Our corporate-sponsored Bunk Bed Build Days are the perfect event if you’re looking for a service opportunity for your organization and will make a permanent difference in your own community. There are two BAA sponsorship categories:
Local Sponsorship
