Bunks Across America is Sleep in Heavenly Peace’s flagship annual initiative that brings together communities nationwide for the largest coordinated bed-building event of its kind. This powerful week of service unites local chapters, volunteers, and sponsors in our shared mission to ensure NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!

Building on Record-Breaking Impact

During BAA 2024, we witnessed the incredible power of community in action. 174 SHP chapters joined forces with over 12,100 volunteers to build 7,629 beds in a single day, making a tangible difference in the lives of thousands of children across North America.

Our generous local and national sponsors didn’t just provide financial support—they rolled up their sleeves and joined us in building hope. Partners like Lowe’s Home Improvement, DEWALT, Ashley Furniture Industries, and Jockey enjoyed meaningful community engagement, valuable local and national exposure, and the deep satisfaction that comes from directly serving families in need.

This year’s Bunks Across America takes place during the week of September 6-13, 2025, and we’re setting our most ambitious goals yet:

• Build over 10,000 beds
• Engage 15,000 volunteers
• Unite 250+ SHP chapters across the United States

With an estimated 2-3 percent of children experiencing bedlessness in America, every bed we build represents more than just furniture—it’s a foundation for better sleep, improved health, enhanced learning, and renewed hope for entire families.

What does a typical BAA sponsorship look like?

Our corporate-sponsored Bunk Bed Build Days are the perfect event if you’re looking for a service opportunity for your organization and will make a permanent difference in your own community. There are two BAA sponsorship categories:

Our mission is simple: NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN! With 2-3% of American children sleeping on floors, couches, or shared beds, we know a bed is a basic need for a child’s well-being, supporting their physical, emotional and mental development.
