About SHP
Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a 501(c)3 national non-profit whose mission is to end child bedlessness and ensure that NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!
The most profound way to end the national crisis of child bedlessness is to unite the country in one common goal of delivering the most amount of beds possible and getting thousands of children off the floor. And that is the story behind SHP’s National Delivery Day.
Deliveries Across America: SHP’s annual National Delivery Day
In 2012, Sleep in Heavenly Peace was born out of a desire to become active in the community during the holidays and help get some local Idaho kids off the floor. A decade and a half later, SHP is more than a national nonprofit, it’s also a movement of people who want to do more.
Deliveries Across America is an annual event that mobilizes volunteers across the nation to participate in the largest single-day bed delivery event. Through local and national sponsorships, SHP is able to put a real dent in the national child bedlessness crisis.
DAA will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2026. SHP’s goal is to deliver over 2,500 beds with up to 5,000 volunteers, and we need your help to make it happen. Save the date and join your local SHP chapter for a memorable day of joy and community service!

What does a typical DAA sponsorship look like?
Our corporate-sponsored Bed Delivery Days are the perfect event if you’re looking for a service opportunity for your organization that will make a long-lasting difference in your community. DAA sponsors enjoy the benefits of local and national exposure, provide service opportunities for employees, and see firsthand the smiles on kids’ faces who receive their very own bed.
