Calling all caring neighbors! Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), the leading non-profit dedicated to providing beds for children in need, is gearing up for its 8th annual Bunks Across America (BAA) event from September 5-12, 2026. This HUGE community impact initiative unites SHP chapters across North America to build or deliver beds, ensuring safe and comfortable sleeping conditions for children in need.
This year’s BAA is aiming higher than ever, with an ambitious goal of engaging 15,000 volunteers across 250 chapters to construct or deliver a staggering 12,000 beds during the week! BAA empowers communities to come together to make a real difference in the lives of children. Anyone can volunteer with SHP, no experience required.

As our nation celebrates America 250 this year, Bunks Across America carries forward that same spirit of neighbors building something greater together -→ a legacy of service and community that has shaped this country since its founding, one bed and one child at a time.
