Imagine tucking your child into bed each night, only there’s no bed to tuck them into. For countless families across the United States, this is a tough reality. Kids are sleeping on floors, couches, or sharing beds out of necessity, missing out on the rest they need to grow, learn, and thrive.
At Sleep in Heavenly Peace, we believe a bed is more than furniture. It’s a basic need that supports a child’s physical, emotional, and mental development. A good night’s sleep helps kids focus in school, manage their emotions, and wake up ready to face the day. That’s why we’re committed to our mission: NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!
A Partnership Built on Shared Values
We’re thrilled to announce that Sleep in Heavenly Peace has been selected as a partner organization for Lowe’s Round Up for Charity program, running November 1 through February 1. This opportunity represents something truly special—the chance for everyday shoppers to make an extraordinary difference with the smallest of gestures.
The Round Up for Charity program exemplifies the deep partnership between Sleep in Heavenly Peace and Lowe’s Home Improvement. As our founding partner, Lowe’s has been instrumental in scaling our impact from the very beginning. They’ve provided resources, volunteers, and unwavering support to ensure children across America have a safe, comfortable place to sleep.
This collaboration extends far beyond corporate sponsorship. It’s a shared commitment to community, kindness, and the belief that every child deserves to Sleep Well and DREAM BIG.
How Round Up Works
Participating couldn’t be simpler. When Lowe’s customers check out in stores through February 1, they’ll have the option to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar. That spare change—often less than a dollar—goes directly toward building and delivering beds to children who need them most.
Think about it: the 47 cents from your paint purchase, the 83 cents from your holiday decorations, the 12 cents from your light bulbs. Individually, these amounts seem small. But collectively, they add up to transformed lives. Every rounded-up dollar helps us purchase lumber, screws, mattresses and bedding. Every contribution brings us closer to ensuring another child has a bed to call their own.
Lowe’s Builds Dreams

Lowe’s Home Improvement platforms our mission in ways both big and small. Through local in-store events, professional support, corporate initiatives, and Lowe’s Foundation programs, they show up for families in need consistently and meaningfully.
From major bed builds that produce hundreds of beds in a single day to hands-on volunteer hours with our chapters nationwide, Lowe’s associates don’t just write checks—they roll up their sleeves. They’re in the workshops cutting wood, in the trucks delivering beds, and at the doorsteps witnessing the joy on a child’s face when they receive their very first bed.
A perfect example of this commitment: Lowe’s associates from two Athens, GA stores—#0506 and #2204—recently volunteered at a bed build with our Jackson County, GA chapter during their Hometown Heroes Bed Build. Store managers Gabby and Jason, along with the Lowe’s Pros Desk and other representatives, have been instrumental in helping get this fledgling SHP chapter up and running in the local community. This is the Lowe’s difference—investing not just in our organization, but in empowering local chapters to serve their neighbors.
This founding partnership has allowed Sleep in Heavenly Peace to grow from a grassroots organization to a national movement with over 370 chapters across the United States and Canada. Lowe’s has been there every step of the way, helping us reach more communities and serve more families.
Join our Mission
Through February 1, 2026, every Lowe’s customer has the power to alleviate child bedlessness. Whether you’re picking up supplies for a weekend project, grabbing a new appliance, or buying a gift for a loved one, you can make a difference.
When the cashier asks if you’d like to Round Up for Charity, say yes. Know that your spare change is joining thousands of other small contributions to create something beautiful: comfortable, healthy sleep for a child who desperately needs it.
Thank you, Lowe’s, for being a lifeline to children and families across America. Together, we’re proving that when communities come together, NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!
