Family Volunteering Makes a Big Difference

March 27, 2020

Many children sleep on a floor or couch or share a bed, often without a pillow or blanket, let alone any sufficient bedding. Especially in the cold winter nights, the need for a comfortable place to sleep to be refreshed to attend school and find joy in play is essential for kids in all communities.

If you’re considering a family activity that can do good and help you bond, consider family volunteering. At SHP, our goal is to help children have a bed of their own — and we need lots of hands to help us meet that goal.

Your Family Can Help Families in Need

Getting kids off the floor and into a proper bed means that children can sleep better, grow stronger, and live a better life. Sleep is essential for kids, and comfortable sleep in a bed is a life necessity.

If you are willing to give a few hours to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, you can make a huge difference for the kids in need of beds.

Family Volunteering to Help Those in Need

Sleep in Heavenly Peace encourages families to volunteer or sponsor/participate in a bed building day. All you need is a willingness to learn and join in giving back to the community.

Volunteering with SHP is rewarding and can make a huge difference for children with just a small amount of your time.
