Bunks Across America is Sleep in Heavenly Peace’s flagship annual initiative that brings together communities nationwide for the largest coordinated bed-building event of its kind. This powerful week of service unites local chapters, volunteers, and sponsors in our shared mission to ensure NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!
Building on Record-Breaking Impact
During BAA 2025, we witnessed the incredible power of community in action. 209 SHP chapters joined forces with over 12,955 volunteers to build 10,075 beds in a single day, making a tangible difference in the lives of thousands of children across North America.

This year’s Bunks Across America takes place during the week of September 5-12, 2026, and we’re setting our most ambitious goals yet:
- Build over 12,000 beds
- Engage 15,000 volunteers

What does a typical BAA sponsorship look like?

With 2-3% of American children sleeping on floors, couches, or shared beds, we know a bed is a basic need for a child’s well-being, supporting their physical, emotional and mental development.
