About Our Chapter

Welcome to the Santa Barbara County North Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace! Serving all of North Santa Barbara County, we unite the community to provide children with a warm, comfortable place to sleep. Started in January 2022, our mission is to ensure every child has a bed to call their own.
Our story is personal – Years ago, during a difficult time, our Co-Chapter President’s son slept on a mattress on the floor. In response, she built him a bed frame, and that simple act inspired the chapter to help others facing similar challenges. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of children in need.
Our Goals – We hold monthly Build Days, where we aim to build 65-100 beds each month. To achieve this, we need your help! Monthly sponsors, Build and Bedding sponsors, and donations of snacks, drinks or lunch for volunteers are always appreciated. We’re also looking for fundraising support and grant opportunities.
