Job Descriptions & Roles

The mission of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is simple: NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!® The task, however, is daunting. To accomplish this goal Chapters must consistently be looking for the right people with the heart and passion for this mission and the humility to join a CORE TEAM of like-minded individuals who work together.

The following are the JOB DESCRIPTIONS & ROLES most commonly used throughout SHP Chapters.  With the exception of Chapter President and Vice President, we in no way imply you MUST fill all the positions.  Your community’s size, location, and number of bed applicants will drive the decision making to the ones you need now and in the future.

Additionally, some may name them slightly different and include multiple roles into a single position and that is perfectly fine.

The committee wanted you to be able to simply print them as a one page handout and be able to give to interested people as they make their decision to join your Core Team.
