Onboarding & Orientation
Continuously building and adding to your Core Team should be a Chapter’s goal at all times. There are many ways to do this but the best is for the Chapter leadership and Core Team to be a constant “talent scout.”
This section is dedicated to your team holding trainings and inviting core volunteers to take a more in-depth role in the Chapter. The focus for all of these is making sure they understand the WHY of SHP.

Custom Questions with GOLDEN Volunteers
Did you know you can add custom questions to your Golden Events? Many Chapters use this functionality of Golden to continuously search for people looking to take a bigger role in the Chapter.
HOW TO…
1. Create a Golden Event using the template.
2. On STEP 5 – EXTRAS is where you can add an additional custom question.
“Do you want to join a Delivery Team and deliver beds?” (YES/NO)
“Would you like MORE information on how to get involved with the SHP PORTAGE CORE TEAM?” (YES/NO)
** Golden will create a custom group for anyone answering Yes or No … from which you can reach out to them individually or as a group.
