Bequests
By making a bequest to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a gift in your will or living trust, ensures future funding for child bedlessness. Add SHP to your existing will or trust or write a will for free online and create a bequest with our partner, FreeWill.
IRA Charitable Rollover
Donors 70.5 and older are eligible to make a tax-free gift to SHP directly from their IRA called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). These gifts are tax-free, regardless of whether or not you itemize deductions on your tax return and can lower your taxable income. If you have to take a Required Minimum Distribution, QCDs are one way to reduce the tax liability.
Stock Gifts
Gifts of appreciated stock and securities are a cost-effective and tax-friendly way to help end child bedlessness. You may be eligible for a tax deduction based on their full fair-market-value and avoid paying the capital gains tax.
Donor Advised Funds
By giving from your donor-advised fund, you may recommend how much and how often you want to give to Sleep in Heavenly Peace. To recommend a grant, contact your financial institution, and notify Sleep in Heavenly Peace by contacting us.
