At Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), we believe service is about much more than constructing beds for kids in need. Our mission of NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN! extends to building communities, transforming lives, and creating opportunities for personal growth and learning. Bob and Ingrid Hirschi have been named the recipients of the annual Guardian of the Mission Award presented by Sleep in Heavenly Peace, honoring their exceptional Chattanooga, Tennessee chapter leadership.
What started as a local mission to help neighbors became a national movement. Today, SHP has grown to 400 chapters, with thousands of dedicated volunteers who have built and delivered more than 350,000 beds to children in need.
